OLSEN COMPLETES FIRST UK TEST SINCE LOCKDOWN

Alex Olsen got back onboard the Global Robots BMW at Croft on Monday for a private test as the team continued their preparations for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship restart next month.

The Global Robots BMW team had not been on track since their last test in Guadix back in March; however, with new components and strategies to run through, the team utilised the additional track time to assess the changes in preparation for the official test at Donington Park next week.

Olsen said: “It was definitely nice to be back on track and get up to speed ready for the official test and the opening round. We spent most of the day just getting back up to speed, blowing the cob webs off and trying to get comfortable on the bike again, due to being off the bike for so long. We worked through various settings just to try and get a good feeling back and make the bike feel like mine again. At the end of the test I felt like we had made some really good progress. We also managed to test some new parts, whilst getting in around 90 laps of track time. In all a great test and nice to be back working with the whole Global Robots BMW team. I can’t wait for Donington Park to continue the development moving forward. I feel like we can get there and push on ready for round one.”
